Abstract:Because of the large span of model and the limitation of laboratory size, it is difficult to keep the tower and line in the same scaling factor when shaking table testing of the power transmission tower-line system is carried out, and it is need to modify the scaling factor of line. From the perspective of numerical analysis and based on the 500kV transmission line in Gaizhou city of Liaoning province, the modified scaling factor of line is taken as 1.0, 0.5 and 0.4 with keeping the scaling of the tower unchanged, and the seismic responses of the infinite element models are obtained under uniform and multiple excitations of longitudinal and transverse, respectively. The results show that the seismic responses of the modified model of transmission tower-line system keep the same as the original model’s, and the precision of the shaking table testing of the modified model meets the project requirements.
