Abstract:The effects of different materials in joints on dynamic characteristics of mechanism with clearance are investigated. The contact model of joints with clearance is established by using the nonlinear equivalent spring-damp model and considering the Coulomb’s friction. With some parameters in the contact model the ADAMS is employed to analyze the dynamic characteristics of mechanism. As an example, a crank-slider mechanism is simulated to illustrate the effects of different materials in joint. The results show that the friction force、stiffness、damping and other coefficients of material would affect the dynamic characteristics of mechanism.
