Abstract:An adjustable damper for semi-active suspension is developed, and the structure and operation principle of the damper is illustrated. According to the theory of hydraulics and elasticity, the ways of the throttle pressure on the parallel pipeline and the embranchment flow rate on the series and parallel complex pipeline are deduced and used, and the detailed mathematical model of the adjustable damper is established by using the equation for annular laminar deformation under a uniform load. The MATLAB software is used to simulate a detailed model, the calculated results agree well with the test results. In parallel, the influence rule of the structure parameter on the circumfluence pipeline is analyzed by the model, and the obtained results provide technical support to the design and performance prediction of the adjustable damper to a certain degree.
