Abstract:Abstract A 3D Finite Element model, which the artificial boundary condition was used to avoid the difference of calculation result caused by the vibration-wave reflection, was established by the ANSYS software to analyze the SFEL vibration-attenuation effect of trenches under different locations, depth, width and filled materials. The analysis result shows that the depth, which is the main factor influencing the vibration-attenuation effect, becomes better with the depth increasing. The depth of the SFEL trench is suggested 30m, and also, the width of trench, whose location should be as close to the SFEL as possible, has less effect on vibration-attenuation. In addition, the trenches filled with harder materials such as concrete have better vibration-attenuation effect than with softer materials such as rubber.
