Dynamic Analysis and Effects of Nonlinear Factors of the Gear Transmission System for High speed Locomotive

Abstract:Based on the existing coupling model of bending, torsion and swinging of helical cylindrical gear, taking into account the dynamic characteristics of helical gear in five directions of three dimensions, an improved muti-degree-of-freedom coupling dynamic model of bending, torsion and swinging is developed after comprehensive considering these non-linear factors associated with time-varying mesh stiffness, tooth gap, and bearing clearance. The phase frequency response and frequency response curve in five directions are studied by using numerical integration, Runge-Kutta method, after the non-dimensional indicators of treatment for the dynamic model. The gear dynamic behaviors are analyzed and the influences of internal incentive, backlash of tooth surface and bearing clearance are given quantitatively. The research results can be used in dynamic optimization design and noise control, especially in the reasonable choice of backlash of tooth surface and bearing clearance
