The Research on Modal Experiment of Pile-soil-pier Interaction of Aqueduct Model

Abstract:A new Self-made device was used in the experiment. This device can put the acceleration sensor inside the steel pipe pile for the modal testing. Substructure technique was used in the experiment and the structure was divided into two substructures, one was the steel pipe pile which was knocked into the soil, and the other was the pier. And the modal test carried out on both of them. Experimental results show that the upper structure and pile have the same frequencies, which shows the integrity of pile and superstructure. The finite element model was established and analyzed by ABAQUS. And the results were consistent with the test results. Compared with the rigid foundation model, the results indicated that the pile-soil interaction can not be ignored in the design of the aqueduct.
