Abstract:A contact-impact coupling algorithm was applied to study the anti-bird characteristic of composite reinforced panel taking into account impact damage of composite honeycomb core material. Bird mode includes vertical impact and oblique impact, and Chang-Chang model was used to simulate the damage of composite material. Variation rules of characteristic parameters such as damage element number of composite panel, residual kinetic energy of bird and deformation of stiffener under three kinds of bird velocities in addition to stress of composite panel and stiffener with stiffener number under one kinds of bird velocity were analyzed. The results showed that characteristics of bird strike under vertical impact and oblique impact are different. Anti-bird characteristic may not be enhanced when stiffener number increased. Sometimes, stiffeners counteract with the anti-bird characteristic.
