Abstract: In order to study the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete hollow bridge columns, five reinforced concrete hollow bridge columns were tested under reversed cyclic lateral load. The seismic performances of all the five models were evaluated from component and section level. At the same time it analyzes influence of aspect ratio, stirrup ratio on seismic performances such as load-carrying capacity、ductility and energy dissipation.Fanally, the japanese specifications concerning residual displacement formula is modified in application of experimental date. It is shown that the seismic performance of reinforced concrete hollow bridge columns is good, and with the increasing of the stirrup reinforcement ratio 、decreasing of aspect ratio the members the ductility ability is improved .The results will provide reference significance to seismic design method of hollow bridge columns,as important value to research of theory。
