Abstract:Wave superposition method is used for solving the prediction problem of the sound radiation of underwater sound source. Through the complex sound pressure measured by the hydrophone array, three-dimensional sound field characteristics can be predicted. In the numerical simulation, a finite long cylindrical shell model with different frequency force excitations is analyzed for sound prediction accuracy, and found that the sizes of measurement array and structure can be similar. Experiments are performed by using the cylinder transducer and double cylindrical shell with ribs, and the predicted and measured results are compared. The results show that the method is robust and effective. The error is less then 3dB with different frequencies which can satisfy the engineering requirement, providing the project reference of underwater large-scale structures for sound radiation prediction and noise reduction performance estimation.
