Suction can influence the air performance around blade. It is used to control flow separation along surface of a blade. Variations of blade vibration are studied in experiment with suction. Blade amplitude is measured at different suction positions or gap lengths. Effect of fluid field around blade is analyzed by numerical simulation in different conditions, suction from different positions or with different velocities. However, the impact of gas velocity at tip clearance is emphasized. The laws from experiment study and simulation calculation are entirely consistent. Some important conclusions are given in this paper. Especially, vibration could be suppressed after suction before or above blade. The maximal attenuation of blade amplitude is up to 27% in the experiment condition.
