A Combined Sine-wave Method of Stimulationfor The Experiment of Bridge Model

Abstract:This study designed a new stimulation technique named Combined Sine-wave Method, based on the theory oforthogonality of trigonometric function. As a special form of stimulation, it’s executed in order to acquire more accuratetransfer function and accelerate the process of the identification of aerodynamic derivatives of bridge model. And after thededuction of theory, this study displays a numerical example. The result demonstrates a better capability of fitting thetransfer function and a broader application prospect by the contrast of Impulse Method.
