A fractal study on blasting damage of an eccentric decouple charge structure

In order to study the blasting damage range and damage degree of eccentric decouple charge structure, using PMMA as experimental material, design eccentric blasting two-dimensional model experiment. Through the digital image processing method, calculate damage variables in different areas around the blasthole. Based on the box-count dimension theory, the fractal dimension of the cracks in different regions is calculated by MATLAB programming. Researches show that: (1) The damage distribution of eccentric blasting shows significant asymmetry. The numerical relationship between the damage variables is: eccentric charge coupling side>center uncoupled charge structure>eccentric charge uncoupled side. (2) Crack distribution accords with fractal rule. The relative size of the fractal dimension is consistent with the damage variable. Fractal dimension can accurately characterize the damage of medium under blasting loading. (3) Through the regression analysis and linear fitting, the power function relationship between the damage variable and the fractal dimension is obtained. A corresponding damage prediction model is established.
