Abstract:In this paper, wind tunnel tests on two paratactic rigid models of long-span spherical shell for coal storage are carried out to study the wind-induced interference effects. At the same time, based on the Reynolds-averaged N-S equations and Reynolds stress equation model (RSM), the numerical simulation of mean wind pressure distribution is performed. The numerical results are found to have good agreement with the experimental results. On this basis, the wind-induced static force and dynamic interference effects between the two spherical shells are discussed. The results show that the main static interference effect is obstruction, it reduces the flow energy, and improves the flow turbulence; the main dynamic interference effect is increased effect, when the shell is on the downstream of the interfering building, the dynamic interference effect is bigger.
