Abstract:The role of the drying-oven in the gravure press is drying the prints forcibly in a few seconds. And the hot-air dynamic characteristics and structure parameters of the drying-oven have a direct influence on the drying effect. While the drying uniformity is the major indexes to represent the hot-air dynamic characteristics. So the paper aims to make a model for the hot-air flow of the traditional drying-oven and using the theory and method of calculating fluid dynamics to analyze the uniformity of hot-air temperature. The Calculated result shows the drying uniformity of the traditional drying-oven is poor. So the paper gave a optimization design to the drying-oven. Through modeling,calculation and simulation and analysis as well as a comparison of the calculation results with the traditional drying-oven, we came the conclusion that the hot-air temperature uniformity of modified drying-oven is better than the traditional one.
