Abstract:A experiment study of wind pressure distributions on the Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center has been carried out in a Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel. The Mean and Fluctuating wind loads in 36 wind directions were obtained from the wind pressure measurements. Then the power spectral densities, correlation coefficients and coherence functions are analyzed in detail. The influence of approaching wind on frequency domain characteristics of wind-induced pressures is discussed. The observations can be summerized as follows. The power spectral densities of fluctuating wind load have the characteristics of vortex shedding and the Strouhal numer is about 0.295; The across-wind load correlation coefficients are stronger than those of the along-wind, All of them decreased when the space of the measuring points increase, And the correlation coefficients at the edge points are stronger than those in the middle area; The coherence coefficients decrease when the space of the measuring points increase, And the along-wind loads coherence coefficients are greater than those of the across-wind loads.
