Abstract:The natural element method (NEM) is a recently developed meshless method and possesses notable advantages in the enforcement of essential boundary conditions when compared to the meshless methods based on the moving least squares approximation. Based on the meshless natural element method and precise integration method, a new algorithm for dynamic analysis of piezoelectric structures is put forward. The space domain is discretized with the NEM and the discretized governing equations for dynamic analysis of piezoelectric structures are derived using weighted residual technique. Then the precise integration method is employed to solve the discretized governing equations. At last, numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method for dynamic elastoplastic analysis.
