Abstract: Based on the measurement of the responses of the towering structures in the wind tunnel test of the aeroelastic model, the displacements and accelerations of each storey of the towering structures are computed by the least-square method. The total internal forces of each storey of the structures are derived from the measurement results with a simplified model of series-wound system of particles. Furthermore, the equivalent static wind loads corresponding to the total internal forces are proposed based on the wind tunnel test of the aeroelastic model. Moreover, the reliability and applicability of the proposed method are illustrated with an actual example of the high-rise television tower as a numerical example.
