Abstract:Taking a reinforced concrete bridge as the research object, retrofit the plastic region of piers with FRP jacket, and study the seismic performance of the bridge structure with the method of hybrid test. Taking the fixed pier which bears most seismic action as experimental element and physically tested in the lab while the remaining parts of the bridge structure were simulated numerically in OpenSees. After integration and combination of different parts by hybrid test platform——OpenFresco, the response of the overall bridge structure under seismic action can be obtained. At last, the paper contrasted the test results and finite element analysis results. It was concluded that the seismic performance of RC continuous girder bridge can get improved effectively after retrofitted by FRP jacket, and the test results agreed with finite element analysis results.
