Abstract:Nonlinear single degree of freedom magnetorheological damper system is study in the paper. The system can implement the semi-active on-off control strategy through the transformation of the MR damper voltage. In the based of analyzing the dynamic characteristics of the system, it gives the differential equation system. And the solution is obtained by the averaging method. According to singularity theory, the universal unfolding of system and transition set under a special circumstances are studied. Then the magnetorheological damper is applied in the lateral bogie dynamic system as the vibration controller. And the effects of system parameters on amplitude frequency curve and stability are analyzed in detail
