Abstract:Effects of semi-active control and time-delay on riding quality, running stability and safety of high-speed railway vehicle were analyzed. Firstly, 62 DOF nonlinear model was built using multi-body-dynamics technology, and then MR damper and semi-active controller was designed based on the modified cubic model of Bouc-Wen. Finally, the influences of semi-active control and time-delay on the dynamic performance of railway vehicle were investigated based on ADMAS+MATLAB co-simulation. The results show that semi-active control can effectively improve the riding quality and safety of vehicle, but in some extent reduce the running stability of vehicle. With the increasing of time-delay, the dynamic performance is not worsened gradually but presents wavelike change, and be poorest in the range of 100~200 ms and 400~500 ms. The control effects are different under semi-active control and improved semi-active control when consider time delay or not, which prove the necessity of time delay analysis
