Abstract:The pressure pulsations inner the hydraulic power pipelines were treaded as a stationary random process approximately. Based on frequency-responses results, the mean square deviation of terminal pressure pulsations was calculated under the white noise excitation of pumping source. The first-passage failure criterion and fatigue damage accumulation failure criterion were adopted to analyze the dynamic pressure reliability respectively, and the influence of amplitude pulsations of pumping source for the reliability of pipelines was obtained. The results indicated that the traditional estimation method of below 10% of rated pressure did not meet the security specification of the hydraulic power unit. The paper proposed the evaluation method for random pressure pulsation based on reliability, which provides a new approach for the dynamics assessment and design of hydraulic pipelines
