Abstract:Field measurements were carried out at Beijing No.5 Metro Line to study the ground vibrations subjected to moving trains on viaduct, Time-domain and frequency-domain analysis were executed on measured ground acceleration. It was found that, the lateral vibration level of ground under trains running on common track is 58-100dB, and the vertical vibration level is 55-91dB. However, the lateral vibration level of ground under trains running on ladder track is 62-85dB, and the vertical vibration level is 60-83dB. The attenuation of lateral vibration grows to a peak at the distance of 15m, and then reduces fluctuant with the distance. The vertical vibration reduces with the distance, and has a rebound region at the distance of 15m. The rebound value increases with the vibration level. The ladder track can reduce vibration level by filtering some frequency component, but also magnify vibration level at some frequency which is similar with the ladder track’ natural frequency. The attenuation level of high frequency is fast than low frequency. The vibration of far field is induced mainly by low frequency.
