Calculation and comparison of Sliding Displacement for rigid blocks Under Earthquake——based on Coulomb friction model

Abstract:Firstly,review of dry friction model is sumarrized.Based on Coulomb friction model,Sliding displacement of rigid blocks under harmonic base excitation is deducted. it is analyzed that exact calculation of transition time from stick to slip have more influence on relative displacement between rigid blocks and base. Difference of Relative displacement based on Coulomb friction model and friction force-displacement model is compared. Then, Based on Coulomb friction model,Sliding displacement of rigid blocks under any base excitation is deducted by Newmark linear acceleration method. Under El-centro earthquake,Difference of Relative displacement based on Coulomb friction model and friction force-displacement model is contrasted.
