Abstract:Low frequency vibrations have bad influence on composite material of aerofoil fuel tank structure. By using the characteristic that the center wave-lengths of Bragg grating sensors change with stress, an experiment for analyzing vibration signals based on aerofoil fuel tank with varied section carbon fiber layer surface was conducted under constant temperature. By analyzing the frequency spectrums of vibration signals captured by optic fiber grating demodulator, the result indicated that the vibration signals were affected by section thickness and excitation position. The experiment proved that it is feasible to apply Bragg grating sensors on vibration monitor for aerofoil fuel tank with varied section carbon fiber layer surface.
