Test verification of a design method for an elastomer damper

Abstract:The elastomer damper is a kind of good anti-shock equipment. The complexity of its shock energy dissipating mechanism restricts generalizing the use of the damper. Therefore, it is necessary to find a design method. In this paper, a damper design method which has been got in prevenient paper is experimented by shock tests. The parameters in the mathematical model are all analyzed. From the analysis results, the conclusion can be drawn that the design method can be used to calculate the physical dimensions of dampers.
