Drop impact crashworthiness analysis for mobile hard disk based on LS-DYNA

Abstract:Mobile hard disk is very sensitive to vibration because of its unique mechanical way of working and the complexity of components. In view of inner structure and complying with mass equivalent principle, a non-operational state of 2.5 inch mobile hard disk finite element modal is modeled based on ANSYS/LS-DYNA. The crashworthiness evaluation is analyzed and set forward. The influence of head actuator arm assembly material, head actuator arm assembly shape and drop angle are analyzed through simulation. Theoretically, the results are proven to be fundamental method of crashworthiness analysis, evaluation and design for mobile hard disk.
