Active isolation control problem for the multi-frequency periodic excitations, which can be regarded as the combination of a set of the multiple harmonic components or some individual simple harmonic components, is studied, and a multi-channel decoupling adaptive feedforward algorithm is presented. The feedforward controller consists of multiple parallel self-converging variable step size normalized LMS adaptive filters, each of which is combined with bandpass filters respectively to uncouple the adaptive filters. Then with an SDOF actuator, multi-frequency periodic vibration is isolated. The algorithm do not require the identification of the secondary path, it is simple to implement and shows excellent robustness. The method is applied to an electromagnetic suspension vibration isolator, experimental results confirm the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm.
