A 3-D dynamic interaction model of a new type of a railway steel-concrete composite trussed bridge consisting of a triangular truss and a grooved concrete slab with a running train is established, which is composed of a train model and the finite element bridge model by using the measured track irregularities samples as the self-excitations. Take the Mawu Jinghe Bridge located on the railway between Xi’an and Pingliang as the engineering background, the dynamic analysis of train-bridge coupled system are performed. The dynamic responses of the bridge under heavy haul freight cars, common and high speed passenger cars, are calculated and the running ability of the train on the bridge are evaluated. Numerical results show that the bridge scheme can satisfy the running safety and comfort of three types of trains at different speeds on the bridge and can be widely used in railway freight, common and high speed passenger transportation in China
