The dynamic responses for slider-crank system with clearance considering of the friction forces and the randomness of system parameters were developed. The system dynamic model was set up based on Lagrange’s equation, and the approximate functional relationship between the system random parameters and the dynamic responses was given by using the BP neural network. The numerical characteristics of the system dynamic responses were solved by moment method, and the results were expressed in statistic view. The effects of the system physical parameters and geometric parameters on the system dynamic response were inspected. In addition, the model and the method presented in the paper were verified through an example. The results illustrate that the randomness of the system parameters can’t be ignored, and the randomness of the clearance has greatest effect on the responses of the system under the same coefficient of variation conditions.
