To get the boom’s natural frequency on each posture easily and quickly, a numerical algorithm is proposed. Firstly, a mechanical model of the boom should be built based on TMM (Transfer Matrix Method) to calculate the natural frequency of each posture quickly; then a regression formula could be numerically fitted with a lot of postures and its natural frequencies. Through the comparison between the result of mechanical model and FEM model on ANSYS, and the result of regression formula, it is found that the formula can reduce the amount of calculation and the computing time greatly with the calculation accuracy ensured. What’s more, the fitting method on multi-function is proved to be feasible; therefore, this method would have a reference value on the boom’s dynamic research and its real-time monitoring, at the same time it will also shine some light on the fitting method of other subjects.
