Deformation of pad is coupled with motion of missile, and vibration of missile will be directly affected by characteristics of pad while it’s in the launch tube. The dynamic model of the missile underwater vertical launched was developed with momentum and moment of momentum theorems, free vibration characteristics of the missile in the tube was analyzed, and lateral vibration equations of the missile were finally obtained in the launch platform coordinate system. On the basis, effects of the rigidity, the length and the distribution on the tube of pad were researched emphatically on the lateral vibration frequency, the cross-section force and moment, and the motion attitude of the missile. The studied results provide theoretical foundation and study tools for missile launching system optimization design.
