Abstract:The investigation on vehicle-induced dynamic responses of box girder for comfort evaluation is actively carried out in this study by taking the Wuhan station as engineering background. The finite element model and analytical approach for the dynamic responses of the box girder for comfort evaluation are established. Furthermore, the dynamic responses of the box girder are examined through numerical simulation. The field measurement of the actual structure are carried out to obtain the dynamic responses of the crucial parts and thereby compared with those from numerical analysis. The observations demonstrate that the analytical model and approach utilized in this study is reliable and accurate for evaluating the vehicle-induced dynamic responses of the box girder, and structure vibration comfort can be evaluated. The analytical approach can be adopted for the analysis of similar structures in the future.
