Aiming the problems of low control precision at low frequencies in vibration tests, a new algorithm for multi-resolution spectrum estimation based on multi-sampling rate theory was put forward. Making use of the decimation and interposition filter theory in digital signal processing, integrating the single- resolution spectrum, different rate spectrum estimation in whole frequency band was achieved and high resolution can be ensured at low frecquencies. By simulation and experiment, the control method was proved to successful in solving the problem of amplitude separating precision in vibration signal as well as the difficulty to separate the adjacent vibration components at low frequencies. The results show that, the method can not only increase control accuracy at low frequencies, but also improve control accuracy at high frequencies. Good test results verify the feasibility and correctness of the method proposed.
