Abstract: Adopting the netting analysis theory, the wound angle of Filament-Wound Flexible Arc Pipe (FW-FAP) produced by expanding straight filament-wound pipe under pressure was studied. According to elastic thin shell theory, equilibrium equations of FW-FAP were set up, calculation method of its equilibrium angle was deduced. The equilibrium performance of the pipe was analyzed, and finite element analysis was used on it. The results show there exist appropriate straight pipe wound angle which makes FW-FAP’s axial displacement under pressure so small as to satisfy the request of equilibrium performance. The study results provide references for choosing parameters in designing and producing of FW-FAP.
