To overcome the shortcomings of the existing wireless sensor network (WSN) node and to achieve the requirements of mechanical vibration signal data acquisition, a WSN node, which can realize mechanical vibration signal acquisition and on-chip processing, was designed. A MEMS acceleration sensor was used to pick up the vibration signals and a low power consumption FPGA chip was used as the central processing unit. Thanks to the programmable system on chip (SOPC) technology, the data acquisition, storage, processing and transmission control modules were integrated into a single FPGA chip. This paper focused on the design of hardware circuit acnd control logic on data acquisition, storage and transmission. Comparative experiments show that the node can effectively acquire and monitor mechanical vibration signal.
