Simplified calculation for wind-induced resonant response component of high-rise buildings
Within the range of the previous order natural frequencies of high-rise buildings, generalized force spectrum distribution with the frequencies does not have the typical white-noise characteristics, so the simplified calculation formula of the wind-induced resonance response based on the white-noise assumption may cause obvious calculation error. Therefore, in this paper the linear distribution assumption of generalized force spectrum distribution with the frequencies was proposed in the narrowband of the previous order natural frequencies in logarithmic coordinates, and linear regression analysis was applied to fit the slope of the line; further, in the use of the variable step Simpson integration, the corresponding relationship between the resonant response components and the parameters such as the slope of the line and the structural damping ratio was determined and a new simplified formula for the resonant response component was proposed. Finally, utilizing a high-rise building structure with “the boots-like” shape, it was verified that the wind-induced resonance response components of the structures calculated with the proposed method had higher accuracy and wider applicability compared to the traditional white-noise-assumed method.
