Abstract
Tilt-Rotor is a new type of helicopter which has being researched by many aero great powers. Transmission, the key system of Tilt-Rotor, has the direct influence on the capability and the security of Tilt-Rotor with its vibration characteristics. Based on the structure of the transmission in the nacelle of Tilt-Rotor, a lateral-torsional coupling dynamic model for the transmission including time-varying mesh stiffness and its dynamic response equations was built. Considering the characteristics of the excitation which act on the rotors, calculated the dynamic responses of the transmission in the three flight types: cruise, hover and transition. Through researching on the various characteristics of dynamic gears coefficient property, a conclusion has been obtained that a beat vibration phenomena exist in the transition mode. The results present some useful information for analyzing reliability, dynamic efficiency and dynamic optimization of the transmission, and set a foundation for the research and development of the new helicopter transmission system.
