Journal of Vibration and Shock was founded in 1982. Mr. Hu Haichang,an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, served as the first editor-in-chief. It was led by an editorial board composed of more than 40 professors and experts across the country. It is an early publication in the vibration field in China.
Journal of Vibration and Shock is jointly sponsored by the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Shanghai City Vibration Engineering Society. It reflects achievements and exchanges experiences in vibration, impact and noise in the fields of mechanics, aviation, aerospace, shipbuilding, vehicles, machinery, construction, water conservancy, electric power, mining, chemical industry, metallurgy, instrumentation, ocean engineering, light industry, environmental protection and other fields. The content includes structural dynamic analysis, modal analysis, parameter identification, Random vibration, nonlinear vibration, vibration control, rotor dynamics, structural dynamics, structural dynamic stability, vibration reduction, vibration isolation, impact resistance, noise prevention, environmental testing, simulation technology, testing technology, signal processing, computer software engineering, muffler equipment, etc. Papers and short articles.
Journal of Vibration and Shock is a national core Chinese journal, a journal for statistical use of Chinese scientific and technological papers, a journal included in the American Ei-Compendex database, a source journal of China Science Citation Database, a source journal of China Physics Literature Database ,a source journal of Wanfang Data System Science and Technology Journals Group, and a source of China Academic Journals Abstract. Journal of Vibration and Shock reflects the new achievements, new theories, new methods and research results of National Natural Science Foundation projects in the field of vibration and impact engineering, and gives priority to publishing research results on relevant cutting-edge topics.
Journal of Vibration and Shock was changed from bimonthly to monthly in 2007. The number of papers published in each issue was about 45, and the annual publication volume was 540 - 600; in 2012, it was changed to a semi-monthly, and now 36 papers are published in each issue. The annual publication volume is 864. Supplements or special issues are organized for good papers from various professional committees of the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering and the Academic Exchange Conference of the Shanghai Society of Vibration Engineering from time to time every year.
