Abstract

Abstract: A local form of interface interpolation method for fluid-structure interaction problems is presented and applied to interpolation of wing flutter calculation. Global type radial basis functions and monomial basis functions are selected to fitting the interpolation function, whose domain is a local form. Only structure nodes in the neighborhood have an impact on the interpolation of the target aerodynamic point. The local form of domain is defined and its lower bound is determined. According to energy conservation principle, the aerodynamic force interpolation matrix is derived appropriately. Interpolation results of a 3D deformed sphere are presented to show the precision and efficiency of the suggested method. Based on the interpolation method, the transonic flutter of AGARD 445.6 wing is calculated and the flutter results obtained are consistent with experimental data.
