Abstract

Double sigmoid model for MRD (magneto-rheological fluid damper) was developed based on the experimental study of MRD. The coefficients for the model were the fitting functions of excitation conditions such as drive current and vibration frequency. The test showed that the model is accurate and reliable for different excitation conditions. A two-stage vibration isolation system was built to research influence of the damping ratio on the isolation effect. Then a fuzzy semi-active vibration control strategy was proposed. Simulation results showed that it greatly improves the vibration isolation effect in the wide range of frequency.
