Abstract

The design and realization method for structural damage alarming system of Runyang Suspension Bridge is discussed in detail based on the structural damage alarming method for long-span suspension bridges. The structural damage alarming system adopts the damage alarming methods based on environmental-condition-normalized modal frequency and wavelet packet energy spectrum. The online and offline damage alarming analysis is realized using the two-stage design method. The double system mode of Client/Server and the extended Browser/Server are suggested to connect damage alarming system and other subsystems of health monitoring system efficiently and effectively. The structural damage alarming system software of Runyang Suspension Bridge is developed using the LabVIEW software, which includes three parts, i.e., online identification of modal frequency and wavelet packet energy spectrum, correlation analysis and statistical modeling of damage alarming parameter and environmental-conditions, detection and alarming of structural abnormal condition.
