Abstract

In order to improve the working frequency band and the damping effect of vibration absorber, a new kind of vibration absorber is presented whose resonant frequency can be adjusted in real-time by adapting the geometry parameters of the absorber. Its corresponding control method was also studied. Its vibration attenuation characteristics were analyzed theoretically. The simulation analysis of dynamical performance according to the theory model was proceeded with transmission mobility method. The dynamic properties of the absorber were also characterized on a multiple modal experimental platform. The experimental results match well with the theoretical results, they indicate that this kind of absorber can damp vibration well in whole range.
