THE DESIGN OF HORIZONTAL CUSHION POLE FOR A BUFFER-SEAT IN CREW RETURN VECHILE
On the base of local improvement for the typical “TMA” buffer seat, the cushion pole support buffer seat model is set up with the goal to absorb the horizontal landing shock energy. The definitions for the typical horizontal landing condition, limit horizontal landing condition and design requirements of the horizontal cushion pole are founded on the buffer principle and working characteristics. Three-segment schemes and optimization codes are applied during the design process for the horizontal cushion pole, made of equidistant and non-equidstant expandable ring. Numerical simulations of the seat design demonstrate that the cushion pole support buffer seat alleviates the head-pelvis and chest-back excessive load. The design mehtodology is uniform, comprehensive and efficient. It includes the landing conditions, buffer principles and working characteris. The potential design methodology makes the buffer seat satisfy more landing conditions.
