Abstract

A field balancing strategy without trail weight as well as the result of experiment and field application was presented in this paper. Essentially the strategy utilizes the development of rotating machine dynamics to determine the delay angle between vibration at bearings and exciting force on rotor. Key point of the strategy is confirming the coefficient of the bearings stiffness and damping. Modern perfect Finite Elements Method(FEM) can be used to solve this problems. Theoretical analysis shown that the phase of trial weight equal to the summation of vibration phase and delay angle and 1800 . The quantity of trial weight can be obtained by the liner scaling between vibration amplitude of measured and simulated. Result of experimental research and field application indicate that this strategy can balancing rotating machines efficiently, consequently reducing the time and cost of the balancing considerably.
