Abstract

In order to understand the characteristics of vibration for variable mass hoisting system, according to Hamilton principle of nonholonomic, mathematical model of extensional-torsional coupled vibration for variable mass hoisting system was built, and mode shape and transcendental equation of angular frequency were obtained. Based on two methods that the mode shape is varying with the variable mass and mode shape is invariable, displacement, tension and torsion were calculated numerically. Aiming at the operating condition of skip loading for mine hoist, the results show that the responses obtained by two methods are approximately same; frequency of variable mass system decreases gradually, and the displacement, tension and torsion increase and fluctuate. Thereby, the method of supposing the mode shape invariable could be used to calculate the response expediently, and the coupled characteristics of variable vibration about frequency and fluctuate load should be considered with impact strong load, which favor to enhance the safety and reliable of hoisting system.
