Study on the characteristic of large span railway cable-stayed bridge mode
A 3D finite elements model of the whole bridge has been built up,The characteristic equation of free vibration was solved with subspace iterative method. The changing trend of frequencies and vibration modes of the whole bridge without or with train is computed and analysed. The results of simulation and calculation show every order natural frequencies of the whole bridge with train is lower than the corresponding one of natural frequencies of the whole bridge without train .moreover, Vibration modes evolve spatial coupled modes of vertical bend and coupled mode of lateral bend and torsion from vibration in independence plane including vertical and horizontal. The study includes the influences on natural frequency of cable-stayed bridge in different parking position and diffenert length of train.as a result of bridge tower, With the change of parking positions, natural frequencies of the whole bridge with train fluctuate.when train enters or leaves the bridge , natural frequencies of the whole bridge monotonously drop or rise separately ; when train stops in the middle of bridge or near bridge tower, natural frequencies of the whole bridge have extremum With variety of the number of trailing vehicles. natural frequencies of the whole bridge change too . It is the common rules that natural frequencies of the whole bridge shall reduce while the number of trailing vehicles increase . however, the changing trend of natural frequencies isn’t influenced by the number of trailing vehicles .
