Abstract

The stochastic mathematical models of the vibration signals produced by localized faults in rolling element bearings are established in this paper. Comparing with the models set up by the former researches, the models are improved by introducing the random slip of rolling elements and the periodically varying transfer function of vibration, and taking into account the static load distribution and the positions of the faults. The models are performed by MATLAB. The noise is added in and the fault diagnostic test is carried out. The result validates that the models had practical value on the mechanism analysis of bearing faults and the fault diagnosis
