Abstract
In order to detecting the frictions of metal plastic deform by use of the acoustic emission technique, this paper studied the character of the acoustic emission produced in tensile test and sliding friction, the relative movement speed is 100mm/min, the stress is 7.5kg, of the steel SPCC. The energy, the ring count, amplitude and other parameters of these two kinds acoustic emission signal were analyzed by using the statistics of data, the average of methods. The experimental results show that, firstly, the value of AE energy in tensile was larger than the energy of AE in sliding friction; secondly, the ring count of AE in tensile test was larger than the ring count of AE in sliding friction; last, the range of the amplitude of AE in tensile test was lower than the amplitude of AE in sliding friction and from 40 to 75 dB. Finally, the reasons was discussed for which this situation.
