Abstract

In the proposed scheme of electrohydraulic vibration exciter, a 2D valve (two-dimensional control valve) is used to replace conventional servo valve to enhance frequency response capability by increasing the rotary speed of the spool of the 2D valve. This electrohydraulic vibration exciter is applied to a 4-axis high-cycle structure testing system. The structure and working principle, including the control method of frequency, amplitude and phase, of the testing system is described and discussed. Based on a simulation analysis to frequency response of the system, the control strategy of the synchronization for 4 hydraulic actuating cylinders is developed. The measured vibration wave is given to validate the theoretical analysis. It is classified that the vibration of the tested object can be excited synchronously in four-axis with the frequency 40~200Hz adjustable, and the frequency, amplitude and phase can be controlled continuously.
