Abstract

In this paper, a 1/30 scale model of high-rise portal-shaped steel-concrete hybird building with viscous dampers is tested on shaking table to study the dynamic characteristics, seismic response and the effect of dampers on seismic behaviors of the structure. Test results show that the torion responses between tower 1 and tower 2 is obviously, but the seismic response of the whole structure meet the code requirement. The dampers play an important role in energy dissipation, and the displacement of high-altitude gallery and the tortion response of two towers are greatly reduced.
